Delete your account
Last updated October 24, 2026
You can delete your pixkoz account at any time, from the app or the website. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
From the app or website
Sign in to the account you want to delete. The steps depend on the width of your screen, in the app and in a browser alike.
On a phone held upright
- Open the You tab, at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to the end and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE, then tap Delete my account.
On a wider screen, such as a computer, most tablets or a phone turned sideways
- Select the round button with your picture or initial, at the top right.
- Choose Settings, then Delete account.
- Type DELETE, then choose Delete my account.
Signed in already? Go straight to the deletion page. We do not send a confirmation email: you are signed out, and the account can no longer be used.
To keep a copy of your data, choose Download your data first: it is just above Delete account, and gives you one file (JSON) of what we keep about your account.
If you cannot sign in
Email hello@binarybuddies.in from the address on the account. This includes an account we closed or suspended. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours, and we delete it within one month at most.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, Google photo and profile picture
- Your alias, bio and links
- Every photo you uploaded to cast a spell or try one on, and every result made from it, from our file storage
- Your likes and dislikes, and everything the For you feed kept about you: your interests, the spells you viewed, the record of the spells you were shown, opened or used, your recent feed signals, and the record of staff looks at them
- The usage statistics recorded with your account
- The analytics ID that linked your account to PostHog and Firebase (we also ask PostHog to delete the statistics it holds under it)
- The suggestions you sent while signed in
- Your notifications, your notification settings, the phones registered for phone notifications and the record of the policy notices you saw
- The creators you blocked, and the spells hidden from you after you reported them
- The title, description, prompt, hashtags and images of the spells you made
- Emails to you that we still store
- Anything you made with our older chatbot feature
- Your recent searches on the device you delete from (that list is kept only on your device)
Your account is closed and cannot be signed in to again. Signing in later with the same Google account creates a new, empty account.
What is kept, and why
What is kept stays attached to a closed account record named “Deleted user”, with an internal number but no name, email or picture. The record is kept because the records below point to it.
- Spells a report is about. Where a report or moderation case concerns a spell you made, or you as its creator, that spell's title, description and prompt are kept, out of sight, until the case is deleted (below), and then deleted too.
- Website records of casts and payments. Which spells you cast and when (without the photos), credits bought, spent and refunded, payment references, credit grants and creator payouts. They are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and the credit ledger cannot be edited. Unused credits are lost, unless the law of your country gives you a refund (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy).
- Reports and moderation records. Reports you made, and cases about something you published, so that our decisions can be checked and our rules enforced. A case keeps a copy of what was reported, including the creator name and bio it showed at the time. They are deleted one year after the case is decided, except child-safety cases, cases holding evidence, cases whose removal or suspension is still in force, and open cases, which are kept while that remains so.
- Child-safety evidence. If a child-safety report about something of yours is open, that content is copied and kept as evidence, as our Terms describe.
- Other people's casts of your spells. These belong to the people who made them.
Copies outside your account
Deleting your account does not reach these copies straight away:
- Server logs, which can hold your email address and account number: web server logs are kept for 14 days, and application logs are normally overwritten within days to weeks.
- Database backups, made on the same server before updates: deleted data can stay in a backup until that backup is removed.
- Images already delivered: copies in browsers and in our content delivery network's cache can last up to a year, though the links to them are no longer shown anywhere on pixkoz.
- A working copy of a result on our image-processing server. It is no longer linked to you; ask us and we will remove it.
To have any of these removed sooner, or for any other question about your data, email hello@binarybuddies.in. BinaryBuddies runs pixkoz and decides how your data is used; our Privacy Policy has the rest.
Delete some data, keep the account
- Undo a like or dislike from the spell, or from your Liked list.
- Unblock a creator from their page, or under Blocked creators in Settings.
- Clear your recent searches from the search box.
- Change your alias, bio, links and picture in your profile.
- Turn off Personalised For you feed in Settings: everything the For you feed kept about you (your interests, the spells you viewed, the record of the spells you were shown, opened or used, and your recent feed signals) is deleted, and nothing new is kept while it stays off.
- Switch off Usage statistics in Settings: from then on your actions are counted only as anonymous totals, without your account, and nothing goes to PostHog or Firebase. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, what you do then no longer shapes For you; elsewhere For you has its own switch, above.
For anything else, such as a spell you published, email hello@binarybuddies.in.
